Add it in Tori

  1. Open Settings with the gear in the title bar.
  2. Go to Formatters.
  3. Prettier is already there: it ships inside Tori. When the catalog has a newer version, Add a formatter lists it with Update.

Adding writes one file and runs nothing. Tori runs the copy your project already installs.

Use it without the catalog

Download the file and drop it in the folder below. Tori loads it the next time it starts.

Download file prettier.toml
~/.config/tori/packs/formatters/

1# Prettier, from the project's own install. See FORMATTERS.md.2#3# No `extensions`, so a plugin language (`prettier-plugin-svelte`) keeps4# formatting. A file no parser or plugin covers comes back as exit 2 with the5# message below, which hands the file on; a syntax error is also exit 2 but says6# something else, so it is still reported.78schema_version = 19id = "prettier"10label = "Prettier"11description = "Format JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, Markdown and more with Prettier"12license = "Apache-2.0"13contributor = { name = "Tori", github = "gettori" }1415verified_against = "prettier 3.9.8"16verified_on = "2026-09-21"1718[markers]19# Prettier takes `.prettierrc` under eight extensions and `prettier.config`20# under five, and the set grows.21prefixes = [".prettierrc", "prettier.config."]22keys = [{ file = "package.json", key = "prettier" }]2324[launch]25kind = "project_bin"26program = "prettier"27args = ["--stdin-filepath", "{file}"]2829[not_applicable]30exit_code = 231stderr = "No parser could be inferred"
